The ability of the young producer from Brighton Zak Brashill to absorb and deconstruct the history of British dance music of the last 20 years never ceases to amaze us.
"Synapse", included in “DEU” [Lapsus, 2014], already demonstrates his skills with the tremendous ease at which he revitalised the old ways of Jungle and Drum & Bass cult classics such as Metalheadz, No U-Turn or Moving Shadow. However, nobody could have predicted what was to come.
"Technicolor Daydream" is the most complete and complex work to date by Etch. An EP of five incredible songs packed with breaks, alien melodies, fat heavy bass lines and colorful acid sequences. These are remarkably mature productions overflowing with personality.
